USpring +
Following the successful launch and positive feedback from the first mentor-mentee pairs in the USpring Pro initiative, we launched USpring+, an initiative aimed at supporting the social integration of Ukrainian refugees, focusing on the principle of "Ukrainians helping Ukrainians." In 2024 the USpring+ mentorship program was actively supported and funded by the Etablissement Vaudois d'Accueil des Migrants (EVAM) and Bureau cantonal pour l'intégration (BCI) – the Vaud immigration support agencies. Now it continues on voluntary basis.

"I've seen the USpring program change people's lives in amazing ways. It gives them the skills and confidence they need to start fresh. Plus, it helps them connect with others and build a support system, which makes settling in so much easier."

A mentor is a seasoned professional who supports a mentee by helping them develop both professionally and personally. They share their experience and knowledge, helping the mentee achieve their career or personal goals.
Mentoring is a relationship built on trust, support, and growth. For mentees, the benefits include access to the mentor’s expertise, guidance in setting and achieving career goals, receiving constructive feedback, and resolving complex professional challenges. The core principles are openness, active listening, and mutual respect.
The pairing process is based on questionnaires, interviews, and careful consideration of the individual needs and expectations of both the mentor and the mentee. This ensures the pair is matched as effectively as possible for productive collaboration.
Mentors are expected to dedicate time to meetings, whether online or offline. They provide feedback, assist with specific issues, and share their expertise to help guide the mentee.
As a mentee, you are expected to actively participate in meetings, complete assignments, and be open to feedback. This engagement is vital to ensuring a productive relationship and achieving your goals.
The program typically lasts several months. There may be different phases of the program, and in some cases, there is the option to continue working with the mentor beyond the official program duration.
You can discuss various topics, including career goals, skill development, challenges at work, work-life balance, and other issues that influence your professional and personal growth.
You can end your participation once you’ve achieved your goals or if circumstances prevent you from continuing. There are formal procedures in place for early termination.
Participation in the program is free. In some cases, grants or additional support may be available for those who need it.
You can reach the organizers via the contact information provided on the USpring website, including email and social media.
